Canasta is a fun card game which can be played by 2 to 6 people. Beginners can have just as much fun as more experienced players and sessions for beginners are easily arranged. Calculation of points scored after each round is easy but what makes canasta really interesting is that, if two pairs of people were playing, one pair could be close to the 5000 point winning line when the other might be half that total and they could still win.
